Weather Outlook

It's about to get HOT again (like it hasn't been already with this humidity!) Temps will be in the mid 90s and heat will be dangerous. Watch for symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke (see graphic below). Be sure to check on pets and neighbors and made sure they have a way to stay cool and out of the sun.

CYCLE Students

Kari Jordan and Caleb Meeker, students from Eminence High School, were among 96 high school students from across Missouri who participated in the Missouri Electric Cooperative CYCLE (Cooperative Youth Conference and Leadership Experience) program. The conference was held July 15-18 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Jefferson City.

July 15 Outages Update

We currently have a feeder out of West Plains substation down right now. A phase of wire came down and has to be replaced. To repair it safely, additional members power had to be shut off while the repair is made. There are just more than 850 members without power. Crews are working on the issue as safely and efficiently as possible. Thank you for your patience.

Substation Safety

If you see suspicious activity near a substation or other utility equipment, report it right away by calling 911. Keep children away from substations; the high voltage equipment is deadly. Authorized workers use protective equipment and knowledge to stay safe.
