Scam Phone Call Awareness

If someone calls and tries to rush you into a decision or push you to go and buy gift cards, always verify who you are talking to. Call the company at the number you have for them, not one provided by the scammer. Just because they may have gotten an account number or amount owed, does not always mean they are legit.

FEMA Meeting

HOEC Operations and Accounting team members met with FEMA representatives last week to discuss the March tornado and April flood. This was the first meeting to begin the process of requests for federal aid for the disasters.

Involvement in Community

Involvement in economic development of our region is important and Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative has long been involved through many avenues. Recently, Ozark Development Corporation (ODC) held their Annual Meeting and pictured are HOEC Board Members with members of the ODC.

Labor Day Holiday

Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1, 2025 in honor of Labor Day. Dispatch will be available for outages and emergencies by calling 417-256-2131 or 888-HOE-POWER. Power Restored in Dora

Power has been restored to members in the Dora area after the scheduled work was safely completed. The system improvement work will help to provide reliable service to members. August 19 Storm Outages

We currently have just over 300 members without power out of Willow Springs, Mountain View and Peace Valley. Dispatch is aware of these outages and crews have been dispatched. These outages have occurred with storms moving through the area. If you need to report an outage you may do so on the SmartHub mobile app or our website www.hoecoop.org.
