HOEC linemen returned home from Black River Electric Cooperative over the weekend. Josh Hackworth, Austin Wood, Dakota McDaniel, Mike Buehler, Caleb Wells, Jacob Mitchell, Dwight Eden and Jerry Mullen worked last week at BREC helping restore power for members.

HOEC Crews have been working in the ice and cold in the Black River Electric Cooperative service area. It has been a rough go with trees, limbs and branches down through many right of ways and roads, leaving 11,000 BREC members without power. Crews are working long hours but as of this morning the number of members without power was down to 5,400.

Black River Electric Cooperative to our east received substantial ice and snow, leaving around 11,000 members without power. HOEC sent linemen to help with the restoration.

As of this time all known power outages have been restored. If you lose power, check the SmartHub mobile app or our SmartHub website to see if we are aware of your outage, and if not, submit a report. Always stay away from downed power lines. Stay safe during the aftermath of this weather event.
