We have had reports from members of someone claiming to be with HOEC calling to refund an over payment or rebate, and asking for checking account details. DO NOT give your account information to anyone that calls you. Do not fall victim to this scam. As always, if in doubt, call our office directly.
Solar panels cannot generate power at night or on cloudy days, so you need an alternative energy source. Battery-backed "grid-independent systems" store excess energy produced during the day for use when the sun is not producing enough power; but choosing this option will add significant cost and maintenance to your system.

We are now down to 302 members without power. Crews continue to restore electricity. To do that safely, there are times the power must be shut down where it has already been restored, to replace broken poles and cross arms safely.
