Recently, Dan Singletary was inducted into the Cooperative Hall of Fame, an award from The Missouri Institute of Cooperatives (MIC). As a member-focused organization, MIC is driven by the mission to empower cooperatives and strengthen their impact.
Rural Missouri magazine honored Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative, West Plains, as the electric cooperative with the best storm response during a presentation of the magazine's 2025 High Voltage Awards on Oct. 16.
Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative (HOEC), West Plains, was one of 35 Missouri electric cooperatives recognized for working safely. Employees of the cooperative have now worked a total of 332,395.50 hours without a lost time accident.
Sho-Me Power has a planned outage for substation work. On Wednesday October 22 the Winona substation will be down from 1 AM to 3 AM, scheduled at night to have the least impact on members. Affected members will receive notice through the SmartHub app (if registered), or a phone call/message to the phone number on file. This will affect approximately 970 members.
Sho-Me Power, our wholesale provider of energy, has scheduled substation system improvements for the Tecumseh substation. On Tuesday, October 14, the substation will be down from 10 AM to noon. Members impacted by this outage will receive notification through the SmartHub app if they are signed up.
