Thank You

Thank you to our members for reducing energy usage during these past few cold days. Remember YOU can help control your bill by controlling when and how much energy you use. The lower energy demand helps keep YOUR electric bill from increasing in the years to come!

Filter Maintenance

Have you checked your heating system’s filter lately? Regularly replacing dirty filters saves energy, extends the life of your heating system and provides better temperature control. Set a reminder on your phone to check filters every two months.

Control Energy Use and Control Your Bill

YOU control your bill by controlling how much energy you use. During times of high usage, save on your electric bill by conserving energy.

  • Minimize the use of major appliances at the same time
  • Turn off lights and unplug small appliances when not in use
  • If safe to do so, turn down your thermostat a few degrees.

All these things will help keep your energy usage lower, helping your bill and your pocketbook!

Staying warm while saving energy could save you money!

HOEC’s mission is to be a leader in delivering cost-efficient, reliable energy with value added service. And we want to do that keeping everyone safe along the way.

As cold temperatures are blowing in, YOU can help minimize the impact on YOUR electricity bill! Energy usage during winter weather affects the price we pay from our power providers for the next fiscal year. YOU can play a part by conserving energy the next few days by following the tips below.

Winter Driving Safety Tips

Be prepared for winter weather. The wet roads will freeze quickly when the temperatures drop this afternoon. Manually turn on your lights in snowy and rainy conditions; daytime running lights do not include tail lights, so the safe bet is to manually turn headlights on so other drivers can see you on the road. Be safe!

Be Ready for Storms

As winter weather is in the forecast this week, make sure you and your car are ready. Keep blankets, gloves and water in your car as well as a phone charging cord. Download a weather app and always check the forecast before heading out! Make sure to stay safe and warm.
