The Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives (AMEC) annually presents its Distinguished Service Award to someone who "selflessly and tirelessly devotes themselves to the progress of rural electrification." This year the award was presented to Dan Singletary, manager of Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative, West Plains.

To combat the threat of phishing attacks, HOEC is introducing an extra layer of protection for your SmartHub account: Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

You can enable 2FA on your SmartHub account today. In SmartHub Web you'll find it under Settings > Two-Factor Authentication. In the SmartHub Mobile App, look in More > Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication.

From September 26 through October 8, 2025, Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative will be participating in a survey that is conducted every two years to measure the quality of service provided to you and to ensure reliable service in the future. This survey will ask several questions about your satisfaction with the cooperative and your energy usage.
