LED Holiday Lighting

As the weather turns colder, we see communities, businesses and homes start to brighten up with holiday decorations and lights. But is it worth it to upgrade to LED Christmas lights? Yes! LED holiday lights offer a lower energy cost alternative to regular incandescent light strings and are a great way to show your holiday spirit while maintaining your smart energy sense.

Sunday Outage

We currently have a wide spread outage in the Willow Springs area. The issue appears to be on the Sho-Me Power side in the substation at Willow. Crews from Sho-Me have been dispatched. If you need to report an outage, you may use the SmartHub Mobile App on your iPhone or Android smartphone, or the website at www.hoecoop.org.

Outage Update

Currently we have 384 members without power. These members are served out of the Koshkonong substation. This outage affects members in the Koshkonong area and reaches down to Thayer - areas west of Hwy 63 to the Arkansas border - and up across Hwy 63 north to Route Z. Crews have been dispatched and are working to resolve the issue.

Mini-Split Systems

Mini-split systems, also known as ductless air-source heat pumps, can be a viable option when it’s time to replace or upgrade your HVAC system. A mini-split system heats and cools a home through an outdoor unit that connects to one or more individual indoor head units that circulate air.

Friday Evening Update

At this time, we have all primary residences and businesses back on from the outage caused by the flooding earlier this week. We will be completing the work at seasonal cabins beginning next week. Some of the creeks and rivers in our eastern counties, crested higher than they did in the 2017 flood. In the western part of our service area, it seemed to be almost as bad as 2017.
