Phishing is when cybercriminals use fake emails, social media posts or direct messages with the goal of luring you to click on a bad link or download a malicious attachment. If you click on a phishing link or file, you can hand over your personal information to the criminals. A phishing scheme can also install malware onto your device.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Launched in 2004 and co-managed by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCA), it is a collaborative effort between government and industry to raise awareness and help everyone get the knowledge they need to be safe and secure online.
