Filter Maintenance

Have you checked your heating system’s filter lately? Regularly replacing dirty filters saves energy, extends the life of your heating system and provides better temperature control. Set a reminder on your phone to check filters every two months.

Control Energy Use and Control Your Bill

YOU control your bill by controlling how much energy you use. During times of high usage, save on your electric bill by conserving energy.

  • Minimize the use of major appliances at the same time
  • Turn off lights and unplug small appliances when not in use
  • If safe to do so, turn down your thermostat a few degrees.

All these things will help keep your energy usage lower, helping your bill and your pocketbook!

Thermostat Tips for Savings

Turning down your thermostat a degree or two could help you save on your electric bill by conserving energy. When the difference between outside and inside temperature is significant, like today and tomorrow, your heating system runs more to maintain the warmth. That's why setting your thermostat at 68° during the winter (or even cooler, if safe) is generally a good rule of thumb. At lower settings, there is less difference between the outside temp and the desired indoor temperature, which reduces the run time that your system needs to keep the inside warm.
