Missouri Cooperative Members to receive power from a fourth wind farm!

Missouri Cooperative Members will soon receive power from a fourth wind farm! The Lost Creek Wind Farm, currently under construction, will become the fourth wind farm that will generate electricity for Missouri Electric Cooperative members including members of Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative. The farms are all owned by the Wind Capital Group that was established in 2005.  Since then, construction has been completed on three wind farms. The first wind farm pictured to the left is the Bluegrass Ridge Wind farm in Gentry County. The others include the Cow Branch Wind Energy Project in Atchison County and the Conception Wind Energy Project in Nodaway County. When the new Lost Creek Wind Farm is completed, it will have the potential to generate enough electricity for up to 50,000 homes.  The four wind farms combined will have the capacity to supply power to more than 95,000 homes when the wind is blowing.
